The Mayor - Councillor Susan Durant and Deputy Mayor - Councillor Mark Houlbrook joined us for the open day and formally opened the care home, with a little help from our very first resident Jean Halliwell.
The open day provided an opportunity for visitors and potential clients to view the facilities on offer.
Our Company Chairman, Mr Paul Warren-Gray gave a short speech along with Home Manager, Andrea Fletcher, to welcome everyone at the home.
Those who attended the open day were welcomed with a glass of prosecco on arrival, and enjoyed a light bite to eat whilst they looked around the home.
Mayor Durant, said: "It was a privilege to be invited to the opening of the new Northfield Care Centre. Everyone was made very welcome by those running the home".
The Mayor said she spent some of her time at the centre talking to nursing staff: "After speaking to staff members their caring nature and heartfelt dedication to the role was obvious to see. The home is a lovely environment and a much needed facility in the town".
Our care home is open at any time, so if you were not able to make it along please contact us on 01405 816042 and arrange a tour at a time that is convenient to you.
We are really pleased to let everyone know that our new Home Manager Andrea Fletcher started working for us on 19th April 2017.
We are delighted to have found Andrea, who combines the experience, expertise and positive attitude that we are looking for in a Home Manager.
A few words from Andrea herself:
"I am extremely excited about this role and cannot wait to get started. I have many ideas that I think will be great for the home but I am also keen to hear ideas from staff, relatives, residents, friends and family.
As well as residents and staff members I am very much looking forward to getting to know relatives and loved ones. I am keen to ensure that families play an active role in planning for their loved ones".
